This boat is located in Vero Beach, Florida docked at the Vero Beach City Marina in Indian River County. This was a major undertaking. This boat appears to be covered with something like Poli Glow, a kind of shinny clear coat. Unfortunately, it has sat for years without reapplying it yearly and shows patches of dull spots and streaks. The only thing to do is remove it, a huge job, which I did not do. I cleaned all topside surfaces, removed mildew from gelcoat and fiberglass compartments and hatches, removed mildew from vinyl cushions and seats and removed rust from and polished the stainless steel and aluminum railings and stairs and cleaned the windows and canvas window covers.

The Wheelhouse

The vinyl cushions and seats had been exposed to the elements and were covered in dirt and mildew, even weeds were growing from them. Once cleaned O put a UV protectant on them. The inside walls of the gelcoat compartments and hatches were dirty and covered in mildew. The captain’s chair was covered in mildew even though it was covered. It turns out the covers trap moisture, which can lead to mildew. I also cleaned the windows.

The Deck

The deck was mainly dirty with some mold. I had to remove a nasty yellowish stain near the anchor due to sitting water. The stainless steel railings and cleats also require rust removal.

Wheelhouse -Side Compartments

More mildew on inside surfaces with dirt accumulation in the drainage tracks. I alos removed mildew from hoses and wiring.

WheelhouseForward Large Storage Compartment

Most of this required mildew and dirt removal from the ceiling, floors, and walls of the huge compartment forward of the wheel house. This is a large and useful storage area and should be clean of dirt and mildew.

Aft Main Deck

This are required mildew removal from the vinyl seat cushions, rust removal from the ladder to the wheel house, and polishing the stainless steel framework of the large windows.
