I provide sailboat detailing in Vero Beach, Florida, and the surrounding counties.
I detail sailboats moored at marinas and in slips, either at a marina or at your home. If your boat is moored and you can provide a dingy for me to work off of and electrical power (through a generator), I can detail your hull. If your boat is in a slip, I can detail your hull as long as I can maneuver my floating dock around your boat. Sometimes it is necessary for you to turn the boat around or shift it right or left for me to do both sides of the hull.
Sailboats generally have wider beams than deck boats and fishing boats, thus there is more time involved in cleaning, compounding, and waxing. They also have a lot of hardware on the gunnel, which makes compounding and polishing, in particular, very hard to do. Thus, sailboat cleaning is very time-consuming compared to detailing motor boats and it may take several days.
The following prices will give you an idea of the costs of detailing a sailboat. I assume it will be docked or on the hard. I will need to see the boat before I can quote a price.
